This cement is an early high strength Portland slag cement with normal setting times but quick hardening, thus, allowing for earlier stripping and quick loading capacity of concrete pieces.
The Portland slag cement CEM II/A-S 42,5 R is thus primarily used for ready mixed concrete, system building concrete pieces and tunnel inside stripping. Due to its rapid strengthening development, this cement is also recommended for concreting at low temperatures.
